The Consulate has integrated an Applicant Service Center into its overall visa processing which began April 18, 2008. At that time, all nonimmigrant visa applicants except for A (diplomatic) and H2 (temporary worker) visas began a two step process for the visa application: enrollment at an ASC and appointment at the Consular Section. Beginning with the first H2 appointments on September 2, 2008, we will complete the transition to the Applicant Service Center for all nonimmigrant visa applicants, including those in the H2 categories. After that date the only applicants who will not process through the ASC will be those seeking diplomatic A visas for whom there is a separate procedure.
