H2 Visas for Temporary/Seasonal Laborers
H2 Interview Process
Please note that this is a general summary of the H2 process in Monterrey and should NOT be construed as exact processing instructions. Please use the specific processing instructions you received from the Visa Information Service when your appointments were scheduled. If you have questions, please check www.usvisa-mexico.com or email H2BMex@csc.com.
The Consulate has integrated an Applicant Service Center into its overall visa processing which began April 18, 2008. At that time, all nonimmigrant visa applicants except for A (diplomatic) and H2 (temporary worker) visas began a two step process for the visa application: enrollment at an ASC and appointment at the Consular Section. Beginning with the first H2 appointments on September 2, 2008, we completed the transition to the Applicant Service Center for all nonimmigrant visa applicants, including those in the H2 categories. Now the only applicants who do not process through the ASC are those seeking diplomatic A visas.
