BUSINESS HOURS

The American Citizen Services unit is available to the public 8:00 am through 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding U.S. and Mexican holidays and the first business day of the month.  In general, morning hours are reserved to handle passport, Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA’s) and notarial services.  Afternoon hours are reserved for information requests.

Applications for passports and CRBA’s may be submitted from 8:00 am until 10:30 am.  Beginning January 22, 2008, all applicants will be required to have a scheduled appointment made either through the Internet or by telephone.

Notarials are handled by appointment only.  Appointments can be scheduled through our online appointment system or by calling the ACS unit at (81) 8345-2120 between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding U.S. and Mexican holidays and the first working day of the month.

Individuals with questions about non-emergency American Citizen Services (i.e. routine passport processing requirements, requests for forms, questions about citizenship requirements, etc.) may either come to the Consulate or call our office at (81) 8345-2120 between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding U.S. and Mexican holidays and the first business day of the month and our staff will be happy to assist you.
